Gary Green
Chief Executive Officer

Gary D. Green, CEO, founder and member of the Board of Directors of Caring Transitions®, is one of America’s most successful franchise developers. He has founded numerous national franchise systems, and combined they have awarded more than 3,000 franchises across North America. With more than two decades of franchising experience, his companies have been recognized by publications like The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur, Starting Your Own Business, Franchise Times and Inc. magazines, and have been featured on CNN Financial News. Superior marketing programs, extensive training and ongoing support have resulted in most of his businesses reaching the #1 ranking in their respective industries.

In 2009, Caring Transitions was awarded “Top 50 New Franchises” and “Franchise 500” by Entrepreneur magazine, as well as being the “VetFran Featured Franchise” by Vetrepreneur.

Since age 16, Green has launched no fewer than a dozen companies, many of them service-oriented. At age 28, Green entered the field of franchising and founded the first of many companies. Today, those companies have developed in more than 500 markets throughout North America, putting him in the top 10 percent of franchisors nationwide according to the International Franchise Association in Washington, D.C.

John F. Buckles
President

John F. Buckles, co-founder & president as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Caring Transitions®, is a Certified Senior Advisor®*, a Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist®**, and a proven Senior Care franchising expert.

Prior to developing Caring Transitions, Buckles served as the co-developer and president of Home Helpers® – a Senior Care franchise providing non-medical and personal care – for nearly a decade. During his Home Helpers tenure, he led its national franchise system growth from 32 markets to more than 500 throughout North America. He broadened the service offerings beyond Senior Care to services for new moms & working parents, recuperative care and continuing care. In addition, he positioned the company to begin its five consecutive year ranking of the #1 Senior Care Franchise.

Buckles has more than 20 years of global and operational business experience. He has worked worldwide providing consulting to organizations including Procter and Gamble, the U.S. Department of Defense, PetSmart Inc., Ryder International, Philips Electronics NV and others.

He is now leveraging his extensive franchise and business expertise to grow Caring Transitions' position as the industry pioneer & leader in Senior Move Management and Transition Services. Today, under Buckles’ leadership, Caring Transitions is already ranked one of the “Top 100 Fastest-Growing Franchises (#38)” [2010] & “Top New Franchises (#7)” [2011] by Entrepreneur Magazine and “AllStar Franchise Top 300 (#113)” [2011] by AllBusiness.

A Lake Forest College alum, Buckles has a degree in economics and a minor studies in international business. As the only child of a mother 39 years his senior and a father 46 years his senior, Buckles experienced and managed first-hand the care and transitioning challenges of his parents for more than 20 years, beginning with his Mom’s brain stem infarction (stroke) in 1983 during his senior year at college.

Heather Grifo, Director of Operations of Caring Transitions, is a Certified Senior Advisor®* and Certified Relocation Transition Specialist®**. Heather has more than 13 years of experience in sales, marketing, law and operations management. Prior to joining the company in 2008, Heather was the National Account Executive for a privately held marketing company in the automobile industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Lewis and Clark College.

Kim Burrell, Director of Accounting for Caring Transitions, has eight years of experience in franchise accounting. Prior to joining the company in 2009, Kim was the vice president of finance for Handyman Connection in Blue Ash. Prior to that, she worked in the manufacturing industry, dividing her time between plant accounting and corporate internal auditing. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting and a minor in finance from the University of Dayton.


Jeffrey Siehl, General Counsel for Caring Transitions, has been with the company since 2007. Prior to joining us, he practiced law in the litigation department of Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, LLP, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a JD from The Ohio State University.
