When Seniors can no longer live safely and securely in their homes due to illness or aging, Caring Transitions gives families peace of mind by coordinating all the details of relocating. The move to a retirement community, nursing care center, hospice, or even another family member's home can sometimes be overwhelming for families. It's more than just packing boxes with household items and selling a home. It's also sorting through years of wonderful memories, precious heirlooms, treasured antiques, and personal belongings. Where to begin: 1. The moving process begins with a free in-home consultation were we help evaluate the services you need and give you an accurate estimate for the associated with the move. 2. We create a plan detailing step-by-step how we will proceed with the move including new residence planning. In planning we always keep in mind what is best for our client and what we can do to minimize the stress of the move. 3. Set the starting time and implement plan. We will act as a single point of contact for all the people involved in the moving process. Our goal is to minimize the stress for our client and making sure all details are attended to so you can relax. We are the advocate on your side. Services we can provide for you: Confirm and arrange move-in dates and schedules with the move-in coordinator for your new residence. Create new residence floor plan laying out furniture and furnishings in the new space to maximize livability and comfort in new home. Interview movers, obtain bids, verify credentials, licence, bonding, insurance and help determine the one who is best suited to your needs and type of move. Coordinate change of addresses with social security, post office, utilities, doctors, etc... Sort and organize all items to be moved, sold, donated or dispersed to family members. Professionally pack your possessions for the move including properly disconnecting and packing all electronic devices such as computers, entertainment centers etc... Personally supervise the movers and moving day. Unpack and arrange furniture in new residence according to layout plan and help Senior get settled in. We set up the electronic devices and make sure they are working properly for you. We will even hang the pictures on the walls. We will follow up after the move to see if there is anything else we can do. All items to be shipped or stored will be taken care of. Evaluate and appraise all items to be sold for pircing and best method to sell. Manage and conduct whole or partial estate sale if needed. Do final clean-out of old residence. Prepare old residence for sale or return to landlord. (Arranging and managing all pre-sale repairs and preparations) Interview and coordinate with real estate agents. Assist with executors, attorneys, trustees and estate planners.
