Caring Transitions really helped my family when we needed it most. My mother is terminally ill, and in the midst of her treatments, my father was transferred across the country. Amy and her team understand how difficult it is for seniors to give up some of the things they've worked their whole lives for in order to downsize into a smaller home.
My parents felt comfortable with the decisions they made about what to leave behind because they knew their precious possessions would be displayed nicely, priced reasonably, and sold promptly. Amy and her team are flexible, resourceful, and experienced. They were able to sell things that I didn't think anyone would want! Amy made sure that the estate sale was worth our while, and for the things that didn't sell, she brought in a charity to take the remaining items and made sure we received tax receipts for them. We will be eternally grateful for the support and expertise she provided to our family during a trying time of transition!

You and your operation are wonderful. Thank you for successfully handling my home and my belongings. As I was living 1,000 miles away and downsizing my home in half, it was imperative that I work with someone that would be able to meet with me the one time I was in town, understand my needs, and help guide me through the process.
You were very professional. You made yourself available to meet me in the 24 hours I was in the area, help me sort through the entire home, provide a labeling system for me to be able to use for the estate sale, but also for the movers to take the pieces that were going to be relocated. You were very flexible with your approach, and provided guidance in the way things would work throughout the process. I was not in town during the estate sale, but you kept me abreast of the progress during the weekend, arranged for final garbage pickup, and a final cleaning to leave the home ready for the new resident.
Thank you for your compassion and professionalism. You really provided a calming presence during a time of turmoil in our lives. Best wishes for continued success. We would like to thank you for doing such an outstanding job with our estate sale in Fishers, Indiana on April 9th and 10th, 2010. Not only were we excited to hear that many people were waiting outside of our home the day of our estate sale, but you handled every aspect of the estate sale, from beginning to end, with professionalism, flexibility and expertise. We had no concerns moving out of our home in the middle of March and leaving the preparations to you – we trusted you immediately…
We were also pleased by your efficiency in getting the estate sale set up, advertised and executed. Two days after we moved out in March, you and your team came in and cleaned our house, prepared all of our belongings for sale, and took many pictures to advertise our furnishings to interested buyers. We especially enjoyed receiving the website link that showed all of our furnishings displayed beautifully in the house. Being out of the country with a vacant home, we really appreciated knowing that our address would not be given out until the day prior to the estate sale. You were always available by phone or email with questions, and you kept us abreast of any questions or concerns you had on a regular basis. And, you didn’t hesitate to run over to our home to help us move our cars or do an errand.
We would recommend Amy Powers and Caring Transitions to anyone who is looking to sell their furnishings due to relocation, loss of a family member or just to downsize. She handled everything with care and we didn’t have to lift a finger. Less than one week after the estate sale we received our money, and Amy was also willing to deposit our check at our US bank since we live overseas.
